BUS SERVICE A public hearing to consider the <br />PUBLIC HEARING City's possible purchase of the <br /> local bus system from the Santa <br />Ana Transit Corporation was sel for August 2, 1971 at 7:30 P.M.~ on <br />motion of Councilman Villa, seconded by Councilman Herrin. The motion <br />carried on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Villa, Herrin, Evans, Markel <br />NOES: Griset, Yamamoto, Patterson <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION Councilman Markel's motion to <br /> request Mr. John Schilling's <br /> resignation from the Planning <br />Commission, because of possible conflicts of interest arising from his <br />membership on the Santa Ana School Board, died for lack of a s~econd. <br />Prior to the motion the City Attorney stated that there was no basis of <br />conflict of interest. <br /> <br />1971-1972 BUDGET Councilman Patterson's motion, <br />CENTENNIAL PARK seconded by Councilman Villa to <br /> amend the proposed Budget to <br />include $30~ 000 from the carry-over funds for the development of <br />Centennial Park carried on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Patterson, Villa, Evans, Yamamoto <br />Herrin, Griset, Markel <br />None <br /> <br />1971-1972 BUDGET Councilman Evans' motion, <br />MEMORIAL PARK seconded by Councilman Villa, <br /> to amend the proposed Budget to <br />include $30,000 from the carry-over funds for the re-lamping of Memorial <br />Park carried on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Evans, Villa, Yamamoto, Patterson <br />Herrin, Griset~ Markel <br />None <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />man Markel and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />At 9:10 P.M., the meeting was <br />adjourned, on motion of Council- <br />man Villa, seconded by Council- <br /> <br />Florence I.
