The Santa Ana Police Department has been <br />allocated $143,303 for the 2004 funding year. The LLEBG Grant requires the <br />City to allocate matching funds of $15,923 in order to receive this <br />funding. <br /> <br />This is the ninth year the Police Department has received funding from the <br />u.s. Department of Justice through this grant program. In accordance with <br />a Department of Justice grant requirement, the Police Department <br />established an Advisory Board to solicit non-binding recommendations <br />regarding the proposed use of the funds. <br /> <br />Based on the Advisory Board <br />funding be used to support <br />reduction efforts and the <br />community. <br /> <br />recommendations, staff is proposing the grant <br />overtime programs in the Department's crime <br />improvement of public safety throughout the <br /> <br />75D-1 <br />
