BRUCE was adopted on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by <br />Councilman Patterson, and carried on a 5-1 vote, Councilman Evans voting NO. <br /> <br />RES. 71-114 RESOLUTION 71-114 APPROVING <br />VA 71-51 THE DECISION OF THE PLANNING <br />CHADRON L. WILLIAMS COMMISSION AND CONDITIONALLY <br /> GRANTING VA 71-51 FILED BY <br />CHADRON L. WILLIAMS was adopted on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded <br />by Councilman Evans, and carried on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Herrin, Evans, <br />NOES: Markel <br />ABSENT: Yamamoto <br /> <br />Villa, <br /> <br />Griset, Patterson <br /> <br />LITIGATION On motion of Councilman Evans, <br /> seconded by Councilman Markel, <br /> and unanimously carried, Council <br />authorized the City's participation in litigation on claims arising from purchase~ <br />of cast iron pipe and fittings. ~ <br /> <br />RESIGNATION FROM HUMAN On motion of Councilman Markel, <br />RELATIONS COMMISSION seconded by Councilman Herrin, <br /> and unanimously carried, Council <br />received and ordered filed, with expression of appreciation, letters of <br />resignation from Mr. John W. Black and Mr. Lorenzo Rios. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT TO MOSQUITO On motion of Councilman Herrin, <br />ABATEMENT DISTRICT seconded by Councilman Evans, and <br />BOARD OF TRUSTEES carried on a 5-1 vote, Councilman <br /> Villa voting NO, Council approved <br />re-appointment of Mr. W.D. Obarr to the Board of Trustees, Mosquito Abate- <br />ment District, for a two-year term of office ending December 31, 1973. <br /> <br />STREET LIGHTS Letter dated November 15, 1971, <br /> from Frederick Kinard, t649 W. <br /> Brook Street, requesting stronger <br />street lights in his area, was referred to Staff, on motion of Councilman <br />Herrin, seconded by Councilman Villa, and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Evans seconded Councilman Villa's motion that the Rules of <br />Procedure be suspended.
