MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br /> OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />February 7, 1972 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 2:05 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Hall Annex, 530 North Ross Street, with the following Councilmen present: Wade <br />Herrin, J. Ogden Markel, Ray Villa, Harry K. Yarnamoto, and Mayor Lorin Griset. <br />Councilman Patterson arrived at 2:10 Po M. and Councilman Evans arrived at 2:20 <br />P.M. Also present were City Manager Carl J. Thornton, City Attorney James A. <br />Withers, Director of Planning Herbert Wieland, Director of Public Works Ronald <br />Wolford, and Assistant Clerk of the Council Marjorie L. West. <br /> <br />MINUTES The Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br /> of January%7, 1972 and the Special <br /> Meeting of January 24, 1972, were <br />approved as submitted, on motion of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman <br />Herrin and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Yamamoto; items 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D, <br /> <br /> The following Agenda items were <br /> removed from the Consent Calendar: <br /> Item 5, requested by Councilman <br />3G, 6E, 9A, and 9B, by Councilman Markel. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Villa, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto and unanimously <br />carried, Council affirmed the recommended action on the following Consent Calendar <br />items: <br /> <br />BID CALLS <br /> <br />Approved plans and specifications <br />and authorized advertisement for <br />bids on the following: <br /> <br />PROJECT 1326-B - Construct storm drain and street <br />improvements in MacArthur Boulevard from Bristol <br />Street to Plaza Drive and <br />PROJECT 1327-A - Construct east side of Bear 5~reet <br />from Sunflower Avenue to Wakeham Avenue. <br /> <br />SPEC. 641-274 - Vending Concession at the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Stadium. <br /> <br />BID AWARDS <br /> <br />Awarded contracts in accordance <br />with Summary of Bid reports <br />submitted on the following: <br /> <br />SPEC. 641-271 - Eight (8) Clothing Racks and 500 Bags <br />for Swimming Pools, awarded contract to Sun Aired Bag <br />Co. , Inc. , Sunland, Calif. , on the basis of only bidder. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />-49 - <br /> <br />February 7, 1972 <br /> <br /> <br />
