HELICOPTER PROGRAM Councilman Villa stated that Supervisor <br /> Phillips bas recommended a cooperative <br /> helicopter program for the County and <br />area cities; that Newport Beach and Costa lViesa have such a program which has been <br />very successful in reducing crime; and that Mayor Wilson of Costa Mesa has invited <br />all Councilmen to a ride in the helicopter to study the program. <br /> <br />Councilman Villa's motion, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto, to refer the <br />Helicopter Program to staff for study and report, carried on a 6-1 vote, Councilman <br />1Viarkel voting NO. <br /> <br />GASOLINE TAX Councilman Villa stated that Supervisor <br /> Clark ~ks suggested that the special <br /> gasoline tax received by cities in the <br />County be used for a green belt and bike trails in accordance with Assembly Bill <br />325. Councilman Pa~ erson's motion, seconded by Councilman Villa, to refer the <br />matter to staff for report at the next Council meeting, was unanimously carried. <br /> <br />WILLOWICK GOLF COURSE <br /> <br />the appraisal from Goode & Goode. <br /> <br />Councilman Markel requested the status <br />of Willowick Golf Course.
