RES. 72-44 Consideration of Resolution 72-44 <br />VA 7Z-18 granting the appeal filed by Western <br />PRUDENTIAL OVERALL SUPPLY Union Realty Company contesting the <br /> Planning Commission approval of <br />Variance Application 72-18 filed by Prudential Overall Supply was continued from <br />the May 1 meeting. <br /> <br />The Mayor stated that the applicant and the appellant had been advised of the <br />reconsideration of the motion to approve the Appeal and deny the Variance. Council <br />had been provided copies of a telephone statement to the Clerk on May 1Z, 1972, <br />from Mr. Victor H. Warnecke representing Western Union Realty reiterating his <br />company's position on the matter. Council Agenda packets also contained copies <br />of letters from C.H. Walton, representing Croddy Corporation and Ben Warner, <br />dated May 2 and March 27, 197Z, respectively, regarding the proposed Variance° <br /> <br />Councilman Evans stated that in discussing this matter with various people, he <br />believes that the intent is to store the vehicles only; that it is not for dismantling. <br />The Mayor stated that in granting this variance application, three other wrecking <br />yards will be eliminated; and that it is an opportunity for higher and better use of <br />land in the City° <br /> <br />Councilman Evans moved to instruct the City Attorney to prepare a resolution <br />denying Appeal #301 filed by Western Union Realty Company and granting <br />Variance Application 72-18 filed by Prudential Overall Supply.
