MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />August 31, 1972 <br /> <br />An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana was <br />convened at 4:15 P.M., in the Conference Room of the Santa Ana Public Library, <br />502 Civic Center Drive West. Affidavits of proper Notice and Posting were on <br />file with the Clerk of the Council. The following Councilmen were present: <br />Wade Herrin, Vernon S~ Evans, Harry K. Yamamoto, Jerry M. Patterson, J. <br />Ogden Markel and Mayor Lorin Griset. Councilman Ray Villa arrived at 4:40 <br />P.M. Also present were Acting City Manager Bruce C~ Spragg, and Clerk of <br />the Council Florence I. Malone~ <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />Manager: <br /> <br />At 4:18 P~M., the Council adjourned <br />to an Executive Session for discussion <br />regarding the appointment of a City <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER APPOINTMENT At 5:35 P.M., the City Council <br /> reconvened with all Councilmen <br /> present. Bruce C. Spragg ~s <br />appointed City Manager and his salary was set at $35,000 per year, subject to his <br />providing evidence of satisfactory physical examination by a licensed physician, <br />on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Patterson and carried <br />with Councilman Markel dissenting. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Evans, seconded by Councilman Villa. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at <br />5:55 PoM., on the unanimously <br />approved motion of Councilman <br /> <br />Florence L Malone <br />Clerk of the Council <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES -342- AUGUST 31, 1972 <br /> <br /> <br />
