Services performed under this contract include the
annual testing of alarms and smoke detectors as well as routine and
emergency repairs.

While performing alarm and sprinkler certification testing, Firemaster
identified several deficiencies. In order to facilitate the necessary
repairs, the Building Maintenance Supervisor authorized Firemaster to
perform the work. The Building Maintenance Supervisor requests
authorization to pay for the completed service.

As a result of the repairs, Firemaster has exceeded the $10,000
contract limit. In order to facilitate future repairs and scheduled
maintenance necessary for other City agencies, staff recommends an
increase in the current contract amount. The amendment will allow for
uninterrupted service to the City.

22F-1

cs. 383
