ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LICENSE <br />APPLICATION - ERWIN A. ROHM - (Continued) <br /> <br />The City Manager stated that there is a time restraint which makes a police <br />recommendation necessary as soon as possible so that the ABC can set the <br />matter for public hearing, at which time additional facts can be brought out; that Mr. <br />Rohm was represented by counsel and had at least one other ownership of a <br />bar in Santa Ana, and that the decision as to whether or not he will be granted <br />an ABC license would come only after hearing before ABC. <br /> <br />The request for reconsideration of the protest filed with the Alcohollc Beverage <br />Control Board was denied on motion of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by <br />Councilman Evans and carried on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Yamamoto, Evans, Herrin, Griset, Patterson, Markel <br />V ill a : <br />None <br /> <br />RECESS Councilman Herrin's motion to <br /> consider the balance of the items <br /> on the afternoon agenda during <br />the evening session was seconded by Councilman Yarnarnoto, and unanimously <br />carried. At 5:45 P.M., the meeting was recessed to 7:30 P.M., at which time <br />it was reconvened with all Council members present except Councilman Evans. <br />Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the Invocation was given by <br />Councilman Markel. - <br /> <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL Council considered the petition <br />KING & STANFORD bearing 29 signatures received <br /> October 10, 1972 from Paul <br />Robles, 2518 West Stanford Street, requesting the sealing off of an approach drive <br />on King & Stanford Streets. <br /> <br />Mr. Robles spoke in favor of his request, stating that there were four entrances <br />to the Starer Brothers Market and that if the entrance on King and Stanford Streets <br />were sealed off, ail of their traffic problems would be solved. <br /> <br />The following persons also spoke in favor of the request: <br /> <br />Mrs. DarleneHarrelson, 2509W. Stanford <br />Mrs. Ernest Hernandez, 2513 W. Stanford. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto, and <br />unanimously carried, the petition was referred to staff. <br /> <br />RECREATIONAL VEHICLE A group of recreational vehicle <br />AND MOBILE HOME DEALERS and mobile home dealers doing <br /> business on Harbor Boulevard <br />presented to Council their oral request to be granted an exemption from the <br />sections of the Uniform Building Code which require that awnings displayed on <br />mobile units used as sales offices shall be free-standing with a 20-pound load <br />capacity. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />-401- <br /> <br />OCTOBER 16, 1972 <br /> <br /> <br />
