<br />REQUEST <br /> <br />The proposed project is a request to amend the City of Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code to establish an ordinance to regulate bail bond <br />uses. <br /> <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />The proposed amendment to the Municipal Code would establish <br />regulations for the operation bail bond uses. The regulations <br />would establish location criteria and operational standards. <br />Below are the standards for the proposed bail bonds ordinance. <br /> <br />Bail Bond Proposed Regulations <br /> <br /> <br />Defmition: <br /> <br />Bail bond use shall mean any use or business that is subject to regulation <br />pursuant to California Insurance Code section 1800 et seq., mcluding but <br />not limited to a use or business of a bail agent, a bail permittee, or a bail <br />solicitor. <br />Service use: 5: 1000 <br />Professional zone with a Conditional Use Permit <br />. Must be within 2,000 feet of a jail facility . <br />0 Separation criteria: 150 feet trom residential <br />zone * <br />. No living quarters allowed: No showers nor kitchens <br />. Not permitted as a home occupation <br />. Exterior site lighting in compliance with Police Department <br />requirements * <br />. No exterior telephones, outdoor vending machines or other <br />attractive nuisances * <br />. Post a sign prohibiting loitering pursuant to P.C. 602 * <br />. Limit neon lighting around building * <br />.
