The Grant was developed to <br />foster greater understanding and communication among youth and adults. <br />The Library has established a partnership with Girls, Inc., the Santa Ana <br />Senior Center, and Professor Donato Martinez to implement the grant. <br />Activities funded by the grant include an intergenerational six-week <br />series of poetry workshops for teens and senior citizens at the Main <br />Library and a special "Teen Poetry Slam NightH, featuring works written by <br />teens and their senior partners. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />The appropriation adj ustment will increase revenue account (account no. <br />153-01-5375) and expenditure accounts (account nos. 153-246-6651, 153-246- <br />6391 and 153-246-6931) by $5,000. The identified community partners will <br />provide human resources to assist with the promotion, implementation, and <br />facili tat ion of the program.
