NO. 2001-238) <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Amend agreement no. 2001-238 with The Library Corporation, Inc. to provide <br />one year of database subscription service and maintenance, for a total <br />amount not to exceed $10,000. <br /> <br />D:ISCUSS:IOH <br /> <br />On June 16, 2003, the City Council approved an agreement between the City <br />of Santa Ana and The Library Corporation, Inc. to provide a library <br />automation system for an amount not to exceed $250,000. The Library <br />Corporation, Inc. has provided the Library with a web based client server. <br />The system offers integrated library automation, which provides increased <br />functionality for staff and ease of use for patrons. <br /> <br />The database subscription service and maintenance will continue to provide <br />uninterrupted service to the Library and its patrons. This service <br />includes telephone support, licensed software updates and enhancements, <br />staff training, online access to cataloging resources, and enhanced <br />content databases.
