<br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />~ <br />~ <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br /> <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br /> <br />OCTOBER 4, 2004 <br /> <br />TITLE: <br />AMEND AN AGREEMENT WITH FULLMER <br />CONTRACT FURNITURE AND SERVICES <br />FOR PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF <br />OFFICE FURNITURE <br /> <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />o As Recommended <br />o As Amended <br />o Ordinance on 151 Reading <br />o Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />o Implementing Resolution <br />o Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br />.v <br /> <br />YJi;// i 2/- <br />/ /) / <br />.. . r/ti ~-- <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and <br />the Clerk of the Council to execute an amendment to the agreement with <br />Fullmer Contract Furniture and Services for the purchase and installation <br />of office furniture in an amount not to exceed $20,000. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />In July 2004, the City entered into an agreement with Fullmer Contract <br />Furniture and Services for the design, purchase and installation of <br />office furniture configurations for the Community Development Agency's <br />Work Center in an amount not to exceed $10,000. Recently, with the <br />assignment of additional professional planning staff to the public <br />counter, it has become necessary to expand the number of occupants in the <br />adjacent office area. In order to accomplish this, two workstations are <br />required which will match existing furniture in Ross Annex. <br /> <br />The recommended contractor has been used by the City in the past to <br />provide furniture consistent in style and configuration with that <br />existing in various City facilities. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />Funds in the additional amount of $10,000 are available in the Planning <br />and Building Agency account for machinery and equipment (account no. 11- <br />505-6641) . <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br /> <br />Stephen G.
