APPEAL #313 TO APPROVE MINOR EXCEPTION PERMIT NO. 72-Z3, <br />was adopted on motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman <br />Villa, and carried on a 5-1 vote, with Councilman Yamarnoto dissenting. <br />(CA-13.5) <br /> <br />RESIGNATION The letter dated January 25, <br />PLANNING COMMISSION - 1973, from Waldo R. Haug, <br />REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION resigning from the Planning <br /> Commission and the <br />Redevelopment Commission was accepted with regret on motion of <br />Councilman Villa, seconded by Councilman Evans and unanimously <br />carried on a 6-0 vote. (CA-78. l(a) and CA-82.1) <br /> <br />POOL TABLE APPLICATION Councilman Markel <br /> requested and received <br /> permission to absent <br />himself from the platform, due to a conflict of interest, before considera- <br />tion of the application of Thomas L. Ports, President, Dance Mate, <br />Inc. for permit to operate two pool tables at a beer bar - rock club <br />located at 1438-} South Main Street (property owned by Councilman Markel). <br />The application was denied on motion of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded <br />by Councilman Evans, and unanimously carried on a 5-0 vote. (CA~91.1) <br /> <br />ORANGE COUNTY The letter dated January 18, <br />TRANSIT DISTRICT 1973, enclosing a copy of <br /> a Resolution of the Board <br />of Directors of the Orange County Transit District, requesting all public <br />officials responsible for reviewing and approving developments and <br />improvements in the County of Orange to require adequate pedestrian <br />access to public streets and highways as a condition of approving said <br />developments and improvements, was referred to the Planning Commission <br />for report and recommendation, on motion of Councilman Evans, <br />seconded by Councilman Villa, and unanimously carried on a 6-0 vote. <br />(CA-11Z. 2) <br /> <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL Council considered the <br />COORDINATING COUNCIL letter from Don E. Smith, <br /> Chairman of the Inter- <br />governmental Council Committee, calllng the first officlal meeting for <br />February 9, 1973. Councilman Patterson's motion to appoint Ray Villa <br />as the official representative at that meeting, and Councilman Jerry M. <br />Patterson as the alternate was seconded by Councilman Yamamoto, and <br />unanimously carried on a 6-0 vote. {CA-11Z.13) <br /> <br />TAX COLLECTOR'S SALE Council referred to staff <br /> the letter from the Orange <br /> County Tax Collector <br />which included the Minutes of the Board of Supervisors approving sale <br />of certain property in the City, and which requested the City's consent <br />to the sale, and on motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman <br />Villa, and unanimously carried on a 6-0 vote.
