MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br /> OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />February Z0, 1973 <br /> <br />Themeeting was called to order at Z:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers <br />of the City,.Hall, 22 Civic Center Plaza, with the following Councilmen <br />present: Vernon S. Evans, Wade Herrin, J. Ogden Markel, Jerry M. <br />Patterson, Harry K. Yamamoto, andMayor Lorin Griset. Councilman <br />Ray Villa was absent and out of the City on personal business. Also <br />present were City Manager Bruce C.-Spragg, Director of l~lanning Charles <br />C. Zimmerman, Dimector of Public Works Ronald Wolford, and Clerk of <br />the Council Florence I. Malone. <br /> <br />MINUT ES <br /> <br />submitted, on motion of Councilman Evans, <br />Herrin, and unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> The Minutes ofthe Regular <br /> Meeting of February 5, <br />1973 were approved as <br />seconded by Councilman <br /> <br />SPECIAL RECOGNITION The City Manager introduced <br /> the newly appointed Assistant <br /> City Manager, Thomas J. <br />Andrusky. The Manager stated that Mr. Andrusky had been the Assistant <br />City Manager for the City of Walnut Creek for 6 years before coming to <br />Santa Ana., (CA 79) ,, <br /> <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY At 2:10 P. M., Council <br /> recessed to convene the <br /> Housing Authority. The <br />meeting reconvened at 2:15 P.M. with the same Councilmen present. <br /> <br />AGENDA ORDER Before recessing to the <br /> Executive Session, Council agreed <br /> by informal unanimous consent to <br />consider Agenda Items 5 C and 55 to accommodate persons in the audience. <br /> <br />ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE . · <br />LICENSE APPLICATION <br />JOSEPH E. DOMINGUEZ <br /> <br />License Application for two weeks. <br /> <br />Joseph E. Dominguez, 202 <br />South Flower Street, requested <br />that Council delay the considera- <br />tion of his Alcoholic Beverage <br /> <br />Councilman Evans~ motion to continue to March 5, 1973 the consideration <br />of the Alcoholic Beverage License Application of Joseph E. Dominguez, <br />202 S. Flower St. , Off sale beer and wine, Original, subject to the Alcoholic <br />Beverage Control Board approval of the continuance and its waiver of the <br />required 30-day notice of protest filing period, in the event Council determined <br />to file a proiest with the Board, at its March 5 meeting., in accordance with <br />the l~olice Department recommendation. The City Attorney was instructed <br />to file the recommended protest immediately if the Alcoholic Beverage <br />Control Board denied the request for a two-week continuance of the <br />application.
