(CA 82.1; CA 81.1) <br /> <br />Lee Podolak, President of the League of Women Voters, Santa Ana-Tustin- <br />Orange Area, read to Council their letter dated Fehruary 20, 1973, and <br />filed the letter with the Clerk. The letter requested that consideration be <br />given to residents and home owners of the area for membership on the <br />Redevelopment ColTucnission and that membership not be dominated by <br />downtown businessmen and development-related interests; Mrs. Podolak <br />stated that th.elr concern was for the residents of the downtown area, both <br />tenants and home owners, in that there would be many families displaced <br />by condemnation. <br /> <br />Mayor Griset explained that official action had been taken to establish a <br />program to assist persons displaced and a commitment had been made to <br />relocate them; that low-income and subsidized housing had already been <br />approved; that any action taken by the Commission would be subject to <br />public hea-ring; and that he was certain that the' Commission would address <br />themselves adequately to the problem of housing. (CA 82.1) <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR The following Agenda items <br /> were removed from the <br /> · Consent Calendar: Item 10 A <br />requested by Sunset Builders, 1784 West Lincoln, Anaheim; Item 7 E <br />requested by Councilman Evans; Items 5 B, SE, 5 F, 5 G, 5 I, and 7 B <br />requested by Councilman Yamamoto; and Items 5 D, 7D, and 13 requested <br />by Councilman Markel. Item 5 C had previously been removed and acted <br />upon at the request of Joseph E. Dominguez. <br /> <br />On rr~otion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Evans, and <br />unanimously carried on a 6-0 vote, Council affirmed the recommended <br />action on the following Consent Calendar items: <br /> <br />BID CALL <br /> <br />for bids on the following: <br /> <br />Approved plans and <br />specifications, and <br />authorized advertisement <br /> <br />SPEC. 73-003 - One (1) Turf Tractor with Flail <br />Mower; opening date March 22, 1973, at Z:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Addition for miscellaneous area.
