1V~ayor and Clerk, and direct the Clerk to record the documents, subject <br />to the City of Garden Grove's obtaining the consent of the bond holders; <br />and in the event that they are unable to obtain such consent, the City <br />Attorney is directed to engage special counsel for an opinion on whether <br />or not the agreement is one of the most acceptable methods for accomplish- <br />ing the transaction. <br /> <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Villa, and carried on the following <br />roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Patterson, Villa, Evans, Griset, Yamamoto <br />Herrin, Markel <br />None <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 73-Z CONSENTING TO THE DETACHMENT OF <br />UNINHABITED TERRITORY FROM THE CITY OF SANTA ANA FOR <br />THE PURPOSE OF PERIVHTTING THE SAlv~E TO BE ANNEXED TO THE <br />CITY OF GARDEN GROVE was continued to the April 16 meeting on <br />motion of Councilman Patterson, seconded by Councilman Griset, and <br />unanimously carried. (CA 52.6; A-73-3 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Councilman Yamamoto's <br />MEAT BOYCOTT motion that Council <br /> recognize the housewives <br />across the country who were trying to bring meat prices down by <br />adopting a resolution supporting them was seconded by Councilman <br />Patterson. <br /> <br />Councilman Griset's motion to table the former motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Evans, and carried on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Griset, Evans, Villa, Herrin <br />Yamamoto, Patterson, Markel <br />None <br /> <br />Prior to his motion, Councilman Griset stated that the matter of the meat <br />boycott was a nation-wide problem and not an item of city business. (CA 151) <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS At Councilman Villa's <br />ORANGE COUNTY HEALTH request, the Clerk read <br />PLANNING COUNCIL letters received from Mr. <br /> and Mrs. Robert De La <br />I-Iuerta, Z05 N. Flower, and Sandra Giamaneo, Z011 IV. Dahl Lane, both <br />requesting that Mrs. Joseph Hernandez be appointed to the Orange County <br />Health Council. <br /> <br />Councilman Villa's motion to receive and file the letters and refer them <br />to Manuel Rede, Assistant to the City Manager for Community Relations <br />to investigate the method of appointment to the Health Planning Council <br />to determine whether or not it would be possible to submit the name of <br />Mrs. Hernandez for consideration of appointment as a member, was <br />seconded by Councilman Markel, and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />111 <br /> <br />APRIL 2, 1973 <br /> <br /> <br />
