Councilman Patterson stated that he foresaw no use for the meters and <br />posts and was in favor of selling them. <br /> <br />The Purchasing Agent stated that the market value of the parking meters <br />and posts was not known, but that it was on the decline due to the fact that <br />many cities had been removing them. <br /> <br />Billy C. Hall, Executive Director of the City Center Association, P.O. <br />Box 1896, stated that the type of heads on the surplus parking meters were <br />for one or two-hour parking, and would not be suitable for an all-day <br />parking 10t, and requested that the meters and posts be sold as soon as <br />possible.
