<br />PROPOSALS TO MODIFY EXISTING FEES <br /> <br />Proposed modifications to existing fees are fee rate adjustments to the Miscellaneous Fees <br />Schedule. <br /> <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />1) Release of Impounded Vehicles (Unlicensed/Suspended-Revoked Drivers) <br /> <br />Existing Fee: <br /> <br />$125 <br /> <br />Proposed Fee(s): <br /> <br />$175 <br /> <br />Department: <br /> <br />Traffic Division <br /> <br />California Vehicle Code Section 22850.5 authorizes the city to adopt a regulation, <br />ordinance, or resolution establishing procedures for the release of properly impounded <br />vehicles and for the imposition of a charge equal to its administrative costs relating to the <br />removal, impound, storage, or release of the vehicles. The current fee of $125 has <br />remained the same since 1998.
