MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
<br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

<br />May 7, 1973
<br />
<br />The meeting was called to order by Vice Mayor Vernon S. Evans
<br />at 2:09 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 22 Civic
<br />Center Plaza, with the following Councilmen present: Lorin
<br />Griset, John Garthe, J. Ogden Markel, James E. Ward, and Harry
<br />K. Yamamoto. Mayor Patterson arrived at 4:40 P.M. Also present
<br />were City Manager Bruce C. Spragg, City Attorney James A.
<br />Withers, Director of Planning Charles C. Zimmerman, Director
<br />of Public Works Ronald Wolford, and Clerk of the Council
<br />Florence I. Malone.

<br />MINUTES The Minutes of the Regular
<br /> Meeting of April 16, 1973,
<br /> and the Adjourned Regular
<br />Meeting of April 10, 1973 were approved as submitted, on motion
<br />of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman Garthe, and
<br />unanimously carried.
<br />
<br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT At 2:10 P.M., Council
<br />AGENCY recessed to convene the
<br /> Community Redevelopment
<br />Agency. The meeting reconvened at 2:45 P.M. with all Councilmen
<br />present.
<br />
<br />CONSENT CALENDAR The following Agenda items
<br /> were removed from the Con-
<br /> sent Calendar: Items 2 B,
<br />3 A, 7 A, and 10 D requested by Councilman Ward; Items 5 A, 5 D,
<br />5 F, and 5 I requested by Councilman Yamamoto; Items 1 F, 2 A,
<br />2 C, 3 C, and 9 B requested by Councilman Markel; and Item 10 C
<br />requested by Vice Mayor Evans.

<br />On motion of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman Griset,
<br />and unanimously carried, Council affirmed the recommended action
<br />on the following Consent Calendar items:
