Mill addressed general concerns relative to the City <br /> <br />Pat McGuigan thanked the City Council for the recent improvements on <br />Newhope Street <br /> <br />Lara Montagne asked the Council for support in bringing a Farmers <br />Market to Santa Ana <br /> <br />Jill Wood supported the Grain Project and the Farmers Market concept <br /> <br />Eusebio Rios, Alfredo Ceja, Hector Lopez, and Roy Alvarado addressed <br />the Council relative to concerns in the Santa Anita Neighborhood <br /> <br />90.B. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Council member Solorio <br />. Thanked Roy Alvarado and the new neighborhood association <br />president, Eusebio Rios, for staying through the long Council <br />meeting to present their neighborhood concerns <br />. Wished all the children, parents and teachers well in the new school <br />year <br />. Reminded residents that the Fiestas Patrias will be held on <br />Saturday, September 11, 2004 and Sunday September 12, 2004. <br />The parade will be held on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. <br />. Asked the Council to adjourn in memory of Hank Kaim, a former <br />chair of the Sandpointe Neighborhood Association <br /> <br />Council member Christy <br />. Thanked the residents who addressed the Council this evening. <br />. Announced that on Sunday 8/29/2004 an Olympic record was set <br />by a 2 ~ year old boy who set a swimming record for 25 meters by <br />a child under 5 years old <br />. Asked residents to support Proposition 1A which is an initiative <br />supported by the Governor and will prevent the State Legislature <br />from spending City funds <br /> <br />Councilmember Bist <br />. Thanked all the residents who stayed through the meeting to <br />present their concerns <br />.
