SEVENTEENTH STREET The Director of Public <br />WIDENING-COLLEGE DRIVE Works described the plan <br />TO BRISTOL STREET for widening Seventeenth <br /> Street (Budget page 92) <br />between College Drive to Bristol Street in conjunction with the <br />College. Plans include a traffic signal, estimated cost, <br />$37,000 and the relocation of the College track, donation of <br />right-of-way by the College, undergrounding of telephone lines, <br />sidewalk and street tree wells; relocation of the curb (to <br />provide additional four feet). <br /> <br />Councilman Ward stated that relocation of the curb and installa- <br />tion of sidewalks were not practical; and that he favored <br />eliminating the parking on Seventeenth Street, consideration <br />of bike trails and bus loading zones, encouragement of foot <br />traffic. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Evans, seconded by Councilman Griset. <br /> <br />At 2:05 P.M., the meeting <br />was adjourned on the <br />unanimously approved <br />motion of Councilman <br /> <br />~erence If~alone <br /> rk of thee Council <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 258 JULY 16, 1973 <br /> <br /> <br />
