NS-1179 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY <br />AMENDING MUNICIPAL CODE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />VEHICLES FOR HIRE SANTA ANA REPEALING CHAPTER <br /> 38 OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICI- <br />PAL CODE AND ENACTING A NEW CHAPTER 38 ENTITLED "VEHICLES FOR <br />HIRE" REQUIRING CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY <br />FOR THE OPERATION OF SUCH VEHICLES, DESCRIBING RULES AND STANDARDS <br />FOR OPERATION AND CONTROL OF SUCH VEHICLES AND PROVIDING FOR <br />ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT OF SUCH ORDINANCE was passed to <br />second reading on motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Mayor <br />Patterson, and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Prior to voting, the following persons spoke regarding the <br />ordinance: <br /> <br />George H. Brazier, 11291 Eckhoff, Orange, and <br />Larry Gaines, representing Yellow Cab Co., 511 E. 3rd Street. <br /> <br />Both indicated that they would like to have an opportunity to meet <br />with the City Attorney prior to the adoption of the ordinance to <br />discuss possible objections they might have to the contents. <br /> <br />The City Attorney requested that in addition to possible meetings <br />on the subject, that all comments be submitted to his office in <br />writing within two weeks. (CA 26; CA 74) <br /> <br />RES. 73-74 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />COMMENDING GUY RIGAULEAU COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA COMMENDING GUY <br /> RIGAULEAU was adopted on <br />motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Garthe, and <br />unanimously carried. (CA 73 B) <br /> <br />RES. 73-73 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />EMERGENCY SERVICES COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING <br /> ACCEPTANCE OF SURPLUS <br />FEDERAL PROPERTY FOR PURPOSES OF EMERGENCY SERVICES was adopted <br />on motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Evans, <br />and unanimously carried.
