NO. 04-133) <br /> <br />1243(2 <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Award a contract to Woodbridge Glass for the purchase and installation <br />of atrium glass in an amount not to exceed $15,000. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />In January 1997, the Santa Ana Police Department Administration and <br />Jail Facility was completed. The four-story building includes two <br />large atrium ceilings, each comprising 56 individual Lexan <br />polycarbonate and glass panes. The atrium allows for natural light to <br />flow into employee work areas. Periodic resealing of glass joints is <br />required in order to prevent water penetration. The Building <br />Maintenance Superintendent has identified Woodbridge Glass as the sole <br />source of the Lexan polycarbonate and glass panes.
