The use of these services maximizes
the effectiveness of staff resources in the Information Services Division
(ISD). This approach ensures timely completion of City information
projects and reduces interruptions to the computer infrastructure system.

A Request for Proposal (RFP) for Temporary Technical Contract Service and
Consulting Services was issued by ISD in November 2001. Some 62 proposals
were evaluated, the top five vendors were identified and the authorization
for the first year of the five-year agreements was approved by the City
Council on December 17, 2001. Annual renewal agreements were subsequently
approved on November 18, 2002 and November 17, 2003. During these past
periods, the Vendors have provided excellent service and support to the
City. Third renewal agreements are sought to continue these services.

258-1
