MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />August 6, 1973 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 2:10 P.M. in the Council <br />Chambers of the City Hall, 22 Civic Center Plaza, with the <br />following Councilmen present: Lorin Griset, Vernon S. Evans, <br />J. Ogden Markel, James E. Ward, Harry K. Yamamoto, and Mayor <br />Jerry M. Patterson. Also present were City Manager Bruce C. <br />Spragg, City Attorney James A. Withers, Director of Planning <br />Charles C. Zin~erman, Assistant Director of Public Works John <br />Stevens and Secretary to the Planning Commission Virginia <br />Frazier. <br /> <br />Councilman John Garthe was absent. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Regular Meetings of June 28, July 5, <br />and the Special Meeting of July 20, <br />submitted, on motion of Councilman Yamamoto, <br />Councilman Markel, and unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> The Minutes of the <br /> Regular Meetings of <br /> July 2 and July 16, <br /> 1973, the Adjourned <br /> July 7 and July 16, 1973, <br />1973, were approved as <br /> seconded by <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />and 13 A requested by Councilman Ward; <br />7 A requested by Councilman Yamamoto; <br />requested by Councilman Markel. <br /> <br />The following Agenda <br />Items were removed from <br />the Consent Calendar: <br />Items 1 A, 1 B, 3 A, 10 E, <br /> Items 5 A, 5 E, 5 H, and <br />Items 3 C, 7 B, 7 C, 9 A <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Evans, <br />and unanimously carried on a 6 - 0 vote, Council affirmed the <br />recommended action on the following Consent Calendar Items: <br /> <br />BID AWARDS <br />responsible bidder: <br /> <br />Awarded contracts as <br />follows on the basis <br />of lowest, best and most <br /> <br />SPEC. 73-019 - One (1) Two-Ton Forklift; <br />awarded to Material Handling Supply, Inc., <br />Stanton. <br /> <br />PROJECT 4026 - Construct V-4 Storm Drain <br />in Fourth Street from F-ii Channel to <br />Cabrillo Park Drive and in Cabrillo Park <br />Drive from Fourth Street to Fifth Street; <br />and PROJECT 1357 - Construct Cabrillo Park <br />Orive from Fourth Street to Fruit Street; <br />awarded to E1 Camino Contracting Company; <br />Huntington Beach. <br /> <br />(CA 89) <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />279 <br /> <br />AUGUST 6, 1973 <br /> <br /> <br />
