BOWERS MEMORIAL MUSEUM The request of the Museum <br /> Director to offer a no-host <br /> bar at an invitational <br /> reception to be held at <br />the Museum on September 9, 1973, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., was <br />approved on motion of Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman <br />Markel, and carried with Councilman Griset dissenting. (CA 85) <br /> <br />PARK SIThS The Mayor stated that <br /> the action taken by Council <br /> that afternoon to proceed <br /> with the development of <br />the entire 32 acres of the Carl Thornton Park site necessitated <br />some decision by Council as to the acquisition of a park site within <br />the Lyon Development (Tract 8203). <br /> <br />After discussion, Councilman Griset's motion, seconded by <br />Councilman Markel, to direct staff to pursue methods of <br />acquisition of a park site within Tract 8203, including a <br />study by staff as to financial feasibility and density of park <br />acreage throughout the city with relation to Tract 8203; <br />carried, with Councilman Ward dissenting. The motion was <br />further clarified to include direction to staff to provide <br />Council with a report on the location and size of all parks <br />within the City.
