Mrs. Richard Farmer, Space 19, and Mrs. Frank Werderitch, <br />Space 16, spoke in support of the request and petition. <br /> <br />Mr. Ysidro Ruvalcava, 941 South Lyon Street, outlined some <br />of the steps he had taken to satisfy the noise complaints and <br />indicated his willingness to cooperate with City officials <br />to solve the problems that have arisen~ He suggested that <br />increased patrol by the Police Department might improve matters. <br /> <br />The matter was referred to staff for (1) further study, (2) <br />implementation of any feasible administrative remedies as soon <br />as possible, (5) report to be submitted to Council at its next <br />meeting, September 17, 1975, if possible, or within 50 days, <br />on the unanimously (6-0) approved motion of Councilman Griset, <br />seconded by Councilman Ward. (CA 127) <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Acting on the suggestion <br />BOWERS MEMORIAL MUSEUM of Councilman Griset, <br /> Vice Mayor Evans moved <br /> that Council reconsider <br />its action of August 20, 1973, to approve a no-host bar at an <br />invitational reception to be held at Bowers Museum on Septem- <br />ber 9, 1973, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. The motion failed <br />for lack of a second. <br /> <br />Councilman Griset stated that he was opposed to a policy which <br />would involve the sale of alcoholic beverages on City property <br />for whatever reason. (CA 85) <br /> <br />SWEARING IN CEREMONY Mrs. Lillie King, appointed <br /> by Council to the Human <br /> Relations Commission on <br /> August 20, 1973, was given <br />the oath of office by the Clerk of the Council. (CA 131.2) <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned <br /> at 9:30 P.M., to an <br /> Adjourned Regular Meeting <br /> at 1:00 P.M., Monday, <br />September 17, 1973, on the unanimously (6-0) carried motion of <br />Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman Griset. <br /> <br />orence I.
