<br />2 <br /> <br />Tim Whitacre spoke about the benefits of fireworks booths and what <br />neighborhood associations can do to reduce illegal fireworks. <br /> <br />3. INFORMATION ON POCKET BIKES <br /> <br />Cpl. Ed Hernandez reviewed information on pocket bikes, stating that they <br />had been determined to be motor driven cycles and enforcement is being <br />taken if used illegally. Information on legal requirements of pocket bikes <br />will be included in the Pedestrian grant starting in the fall. <br /> <br />4. SANTIAGO PARK ENFORCEMENT UPDATE <br /> <br />Lt. Archer updated the committee on the Santiago Park enforcement plan <br />of action and reviewed incidents and aesthetic changes that have <br />improved conditions at the park. Park Ranger Eldridge stated that the <br />parking lot in the creek bed would be closed at dusk and increased <br />positive activities in the park have reduced illegal activity in the park. <br /> <br />Glen Stroud asked about certain illegal activity and that the Santiago Park <br />Neighborhood Association is very interested in the continued control of the <br />park. <br /> <br />5. BRIEFING OF THE CALIFORNIA ANTI-TERRORISM INFORMATION <br />CENTER (CA TIC) <br /> <br />Sgt. John Folio gave an overview of how information is obtained and <br />disseminated. He also reviewed case statistics from April 2002 through <br />May 2004 and discussed some examples of case studies. <br /> <br />6.
