MINOR EXCEPTION 73-21 On motion of Councilman <br />ROGER TURNER Griset, seconded by <br /> Councilman Garthe, and <br /> unanimously carried on <br />a 6 0 vote, Council received and filed the Determination of <br />Exception (CEQA, 1970) and the Zoning Administrator's Findings <br />of Fact; and instructed the City Attorney to withdraw the <br />protest filed with the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board in <br />connection with an ABC License Application, on the following: <br /> <br />MINOR EXCEPTION 73-21, ROGER TURNER <br />To operate a bona-fide eating establishment <br />with on sale beer and wine within 300' of <br />residentially zoned property, in the C 4 <br />District at 110 West MacArthur Blvd.; <br />APPROVED. (CA 13.2) <br /> <br />CUP 73-14 Council received and <br />RANCHO SANTIAGO COMMUNITY filed the Negative <br />COLLEGE DISTRICT Declaration and the <br /> Planning Commission <br />Findings of Fact on Conditional Use Permit 73-14, filed by <br />Rancho Santiago Community College District, to establish a <br />day school in the R 1 District at 1407 Martha Lane, approved <br />by the Planning Commission, on motion of Councilman Griset, <br />seconded by Councilman Yamamoto, and carried on the following <br />vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Griset, Yamamoto, Markel, Garthe, Evans <br /> <br />NOES: Ward <br /> <br />ABSENT: Patterson <br /> <br />Prior to voting, Councilman Ward expressed concern for the <br />lack of planning by the college, and stated that the nearby <br />residents should be informed as to the future expansion plans <br />of the college. <br /> <br />Mr. Ernest Norton spoke on behalf of the application and stated <br />that a master plan for the campus will be formulated by the <br />college board. (CA 13.1) <br /> <br />DEEDS WITH CASH On motion of Councilman <br />GRANTEE, CITY Griset, seconded by <br /> Councilman Ward, and <br /> carried on a S - 1 vote <br />with Councilman Markel dissenting, Council approved the follow- <br />ing deeds and authorized the Mayor to sign all necessary <br />documents in connection with the purchase on each: <br /> <br />LOOMIS PROPERTIES, north side of Civic Center <br />Drive, west side of Minter, street purposes; <br /> <br />ALBERT, north side of Civic Center Drive, east <br />side of Spurgeon, street purposes. <br /> <br />MARKEY, east side of Harper, 459 feet south of <br />Seventeenth, drainage purposes.
