<br />These diagrams show entries to parking structures and possible
<br />locations of staircases providing access to the streets.
<br />
<br />Parking for the small scale structures on the .east side of Main should be at
<br />the rear of the lots, screened from Main Street.
<br />
<br />To ensure lively streets, the following design guidelines are
<br />recommended:
<br />
<br />. Discourage access by the general public from parking
<br />structures directly to buildings to encourage pedestrian activity.
<br />
<br />. Stairs and elevators serving parking structures be located with
<br />direct access onto street sidewalk; preferably, stairs should be
<br />located at or as near as possible to the intersection of two
<br />streets.
<br />
<br />Shops front directly onto Main Street and the Fourteenth Street
<br />pedestrian way.
<br />
<br />No parking structure shall front on Main Slreet.
