<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-090 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING WRITTEN ARGUMENTS FOR <br />THE ONE BROADWAY PLAZA REFERENDUM ELECTION. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />By Ordinance No. NS-2671, the Santa Ana City Council called a special <br />election for April 5,2005 for the purpose of considering a referendum to <br />City Council Ordinance No. NS-2649 related to the One Broadway Plaza <br />development project. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />The City Council desires that the question of adoption of Ordinance No. <br />NS-2649 appear on the ballot as follows: <br /> <br /> Yes <br />Shall Ordinance No. NS-2649, <br />permitting development of One <br />Broadway Plaza, a 37-story office No <br />building and related parking and <br />retail improvements, be adopted? <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />That pursuant to the requirements at Section 9282 of the Elections Code <br />of the State of California, the legislative body may authorize any <br />member(s) of the City Council to write arguments for or against any <br />measure. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council, as the legislative body of the City of Santa Ana, <br />hereby authorizes any member or members of the City Council (up to five members), to <br />file a written argument for the referendum measure set forth above, and Citizens For <br />Responsible Planning, as proponents of the referendum, are hereby authorized to file a <br />written argument against the measure. Said arguments may be changed until and <br />including the date fixed by the Clerk of the Council after which no arguments for or <br />against said City measure may be submitted. <br /> <br />Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the <br />City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting <br />this Resolution. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2004-090 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />
