The Environmental Impact Report for CUP 73~9 was <br />approved on the unanimously carried motion (6 <br />man Griset, seconded by Councilman Ward. <br /> <br /> accepted and <br />0) of Council- <br /> <br />Council discussion followed and Mayor Patterson stated the <br />consensus that: <br /> <br />The use is not desirable in the community, and <br />would not provide a service or facility which <br />would contribute to the general well being of <br />the community; <br /> <br />2. The use would be injurious to property and <br /> improvements in the vicinity; <br /> <br />3. The use does not comply with the Zoning Code; <br /> and <br /> <br />4. The project would be detrimental to the <br /> General Plan of the City. <br /> <br />The "Proposed Findings of Fact Re C.U.P. 73-9 Submitted <br />by Donald E. Smallwood in Opposition" (beginning on <br />page 150 of the Planning Commission meeting transcripts) was <br />adopted as the findings of fact of the City Council, on the <br />unanimously carried motion (6 0) of Mayor Patterson, seconded <br />by Councilman Ward. <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS In response to a question <br />MAYOR'S TRANSPORTATION from Councilman Markel <br />COMMITTEE regarding appointments <br /> to the Mayor's Transporta- <br />tion Committee, the City Manager stated that all appointments <br />would be made by the City Council to become effective January 1, <br />1974. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned <br /> at 1:40 A.M.,on the <br /> unanimously approved <br /> motion of Councilman <br />Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman Ward. <br /> <br />Florence I.
