EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Adlerhorst agree to provide police dog training services for the City's police <br />department upon the request of the SAPD. Available services include the following: <br />• A minimum of one eight-hour training block, per team, per month, with additional <br />sessions available as requested or needed at no additional charge. This training <br />will be provided upon request of the Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD). If <br />SAPD determines said training is not necessary, it will notify Consultant prior to <br />any scheduled training session and Consultant will not be compensated for said <br />session. Training to be conducted at SAPD Canine Training Center, Santa Ana <br />California, unless mutually agreed arrangement is made 72 hours in advance of <br />session. <br />• Written evaluation submitted to the K9 supervisor for each session, based on <br />Consultant's comprehensive qualification requirements. <br />• Agitator training sessions for interested police department personnel, as needed. <br />• Certificates issued. <br />• Unlimited court appearances. Certified court expert testimony in the use and <br />deployment of police service dogs (City pays travel and related expenses only). <br />• Ride-along and one on one sessions as required. <br />• Training for local and international police dog competitions as requested. <br />• Assist in public relations demonstrations in the City. <br />• Availability of preparation for yearly certification (California State certified <br />P.O.S.T. Canine Handler Update and Narcotics Dog Update courses). <br />• Participation in new handler selection. <br />• All instructors P.O.S.T. approved for K9 evaluation. <br />The goals of the parties under this Agreement are as follows: <br />• Reduce liability by elevating the proficiency of the teams and documenting all <br />training. <br />• Educate and train interested officers to assist more safely and intelligently in local <br />training sessions. <br />• Insure the team is attaining its full potential, including cross-training detection <br />dogs. <br />
