Description of Work - in space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12- <br />month contract period including, services to be provided, program goals, client <br />characteristics, & how grant funds will be utilized. <br />Camp Fire will provide 4 sessions of Gift of Giving to low income and very low income teens in <br />neighborhoods in Santa Ana. A Gift of Giving was developed by Camp Fire's national organization and <br />reflects our long held values that self- direction and "giving service" are important for health positive <br />youth development A Gift of Giving is an 8- session curriculum -based program guiding youth through the <br />process of identifying community needs, planning and implementing a service project to address a <br />selected need, and de- briefing and celebrating their experience. <br />The ultimate goal of the program is that 60 youth will become more positive about their own futures <br />while also becoming a catalyst for positive change in their communities.
