MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />January 7, 1974 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 2:05 P.M. in the Council <br />Chambers of the City Hall, 22 Civic Center Plaza, with the <br />following Councilmen present: Vernon S. Evans, John Garthe, <br />J. Ogden Markel, Lorin Griset, James E. Ward, Harry K. Yamamoto, <br />and Mayor Jerry M. Patterson. Also present were City Manager <br />Bruce C. Spragg, City Attorney, James A. Withers, Director of <br />Planning Charles C. Zimmerman, Director of Public Works Ronald <br />Wolford, and Clerk of the Council Florence I. Malone. <br /> <br />MINUTES The Minutes of the <br /> Regular Meeting of <br /> December 17, 1973 were <br /> approved as submitted, <br />on Motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Council- <br />man Yamamoto, and unanimously carried, subject to the <br />following correction requested by Mayor Patterson: <br /> <br />That the following sentence be added to the <br />last paragraph under the heading "Bicentennial <br />Program" on Page 469: <br /> <br />"Councilman Markel stated that he would decline." <br />(CA 42.5) <br /> <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT <br />AGENCY <br /> <br />meeting reconvened at 2:15 P.M. <br /> <br /> At 2:10 P.M., Council <br /> recessed to convene <br /> the Community Redevelop- <br /> ment Agency. The <br />with all Councilmen present. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR The following Agenda <br /> items were removed from <br /> the Consent Calendar: <br /> Items 2 A, 9 B, 10 A <br />and 10 B requested by Mayor Patterson; Items 7 A, 10 C and <br />10 E requested by Councilman Ward; Items 5 C, 5 D, 5 I, 5 J, <br />5 K, and 5 L requested by Councilman Yamamoto; Item 3 B <br />requested by Councilman Garthe; Items 2 C, 3 C and 7 B re- <br />quested by Councilman Markel. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman <br />Griset, Council affirmed the recommended action on the follow- <br />ing Consent Calendar items: <br /> <br />BID AWARDS Awarded to lowest, <br /> best and most <br /> responsible bidder, <br />in accordance with Summary of Bid reports submitted <br />on the following: <br /> <br />PROJECT 7027 A - Construction of Water and <br />Sewer Services & Planter Irrigation System at <br />Bowers Museum; awarded to B & W Sprinkler Co., <br />Westminster. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 3 JANUARY 7, 1974 <br /> <br /> <br />
