Number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served with grant funds during the 12-month <br />contract period= 50 PERSONS 297o Sa✓t-FaA✓eLclie_Yi+5 <br />IL Description of Work - in space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12-month contract <br />period including, services to be provided, program goals, client characteristics, & how grant funds will be <br />utilized. <br />Goal: To increase access to legal services for the homeless by collaborating with all of the interested local agencies <br />that offer services to the homeless and to provide direct legal services to 50 homeless clients. <br />Objective(s): <br />1. Provide direct legal services to homeless clients at designated homeless shelters on a regular basis. <br />TasklActiion: <br />A) Conduct outreach workshops and intake services directly at homeless shelters to identify new clients. The <br />services that LASOC proposes to provide will begin with a comprehensive evaluation of the legal services that are <br />needed by each homeless client to remove any legal barriers that prevent them from moving to a position of self- <br />sufficiency. The legal services will range from advice and counsel to representation. In addition, LASOC project <br />staff will provide educational seminars for both staff members and homeless clients on legal topics that will provide <br />valuable information that will enable the participant to transition into permanent housing. <br />2.
