<br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-087 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO REALLOCATE ONE POSITION IN THE <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE FISCAL <br />YEAR 2004-05 BUDGET <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana requires <br />the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and <br />pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the <br />City Council. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 82- <br />110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation <br />Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />On June 21, 2004, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance No. NS- <br />2653 establishing the City's Annual Budget and authorizing position <br />allocations for Fiscal Year 2004-2005. The Ordinance also set forth the <br />requirement that alterations in the allocation of authorized positions be <br />reviewed and approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />It is the City's practice to assign job titles that reflect the duties and <br />responsibilities of the classification and are consistent with other <br />classifications within the City's organizational structure as well as with <br />comparable job titles in the labor market. <br /> <br />E. <br /> <br />The Executive Director of Community Development proposes to reallocate <br />one full-time position in the current Annual Budget. <br /> <br />F. <br /> <br />It is now desired to amend the Fiscal Year 2004-2005 Budget, as amended, <br />in order to effect these changes. <br /> <br />Section 2: That the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2004-2005, as amended, be <br />further amended by reallocating one position from the classification Economic <br />Development Aide to the classification Economic Development Specialist I. <br /> <br />Section 3: That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of <br />Resolutions No. 82-110, as amended and the FY 2004-2005 Annual Budget, as <br />amended, shall remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2004-087 <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
