MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
<br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA

<br />April 1, 1974
<br />
<br />The meeting was called to order at 2:10 P.M. in the Council
<br />Chambers of the City Hall, 22 Civic Center Plaza, with the
<br />following Councilmen present: John Garthe, Lorin Griset,
<br />Vernon S. Evans, J. Ogden Markel, James E. Ward, Harry K.
<br />Yamamoto, and Mayor Jerry M. Patterson. Also present were
<br />City Manager Bruce C. Spragg, City Attorney James A. Withers,
<br />Director of Planning Charles C. Zimmerman, Director of
<br />Public Works Ronald Wolford, Assistant City Manager Thomas
<br />J. Andrusky, and Clerk of the Council Florence I. Malene.

<br />MINUTES The Minutes of the
<br /> Regular Meeting of
<br /> March 4, 1974, the
<br /> Regular Meeting of
<br />March 18, 1974, and the Adjourned Regular Meeting of March
<br />23, 1974, were approved as submitted, on motion of Councilman
<br />Evans, seconded by Councilman Ward and unanimously carried,
<br />subject to the following corrections:
<br />
<br />The first sentence of the second paragraph, page 80, Minutes
<br />of the Regular Meeting On March 4, 1974, should read as
<br />follows:
<br />
<br />"There was no response to the roll call of the Council, and
<br />the Clerk declared the meeting adjourned, for lack of a
<br />quorum, to Monday, March 11, 1974, at 9:00 A.M., in the
<br />Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza."

<br />The first sentence of the fourth paragraph entitled "Planning
<br />Commission Appointment,', page 107, Minutes of the Adjourned
<br />Regular Meeting, March 23, 1974, should read as follows:
<br />
<br />"Mr. Sealy Yates was appointed to the Planning Commission
<br />to fill the unexpired term of Rudy Gallegos, ending June 30,
<br />197~, on the unanimously approved motion of Councilman
<br />Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman Griset."

<br />The last sentence on page 101, Minutes of the Regular Meeting,
<br />March 18, 1974, should read as follows:
<br />
<br />"Council authorized the expenditure of approximately $12,000,
<br />or the funds necessary (not to exceed ~), from the
<br />Council Contingency Fund, to move the Waffle House back on
<br />its present location, or to another short-distanced location,
<br />to permit widening and extension of Civic Center Drive East,
<br />and to provide six months time to find a permanent location
<br />for it, with the proviso that the Santa Aha Historical Preser-
<br />vation Society shall first be responsible for obtaining . "

<br />RECESS At 2:16 P.M., Council
<br /> recessed to convene as
<br /> the Community Redevelop-
<br /> ment Agency. The Agency
<br />recessed at 2:20 P.M., and the Council reconvened with all
<br />members present.
