<br />assemblies per the scope of work and this section of the specification. <br />Comply with the following: <br /> <br />2.7.2.l.In seven (7) foot open frame relay racks: <br /> <br />2.7.2.1.1. Install triple space horizontal management panels at the top and <br />bottom of a single 48-port patch panel configuration, unless the <br />patch panel is installed as the first patch panel at the top of the <br />equipment data rack. In this latter case, a double space horizontal <br />panel shall be installed above the patch panel, and a triple space <br />management panel below the patch panel. <br /> <br />2.7.2.2.Twenty-four (24), thirty-six (36), or forty-eight (48) inch open frame <br />rack: <br /> <br />2.7.2.2.1. Install double space panels only. <br /> <br />2.7.2.3.Multiple 48 port patch panel configurations require a top and bottom <br />double or triple space manager with (1) double or triple space manager <br />panel between successive patch panels (whether double or triple <br />panels are used depends on the rack installed into; see note above). <br /> <br />2.8. PLACEMENT OF COMMUNICATIONS CABLE <br /> <br />2.8.1. The installation, termination, and testing methods and practices of all <br />cable media to be installed under the scope of work shall be in strict <br />compliance with ANSI/EIAlTIA 568A and all current TSB's associated with <br />these and other relevant Telecommunications Standards. <br /> <br />2.8.2. Splicing: Splicing or half-tapping of any low voltage copper UTP and/or <br />optical fiber cable media is not permitted. <br /> <br />2.8.3. Install the required cable media to each location as specified in the scope <br />of work. <br /> <br />2.8.4. Follow manufacturer's instructions and specifications on bend radius, <br />pulling tension, pair untwist limits, and tie wrapping. Where there is a <br />conflict between ANSI/EIAlTIA 568A and manufacturer's instructions and <br />specifications, resolve conflict with the Telecommunications Coordinator <br />before proceeding. <br /> <br />2.8.5. For all vertical cable placement, comply with the following: <br /> <br />2.8.5.1.Secure cable when the maximum vertical rise, as specified by the <br />cable manufacturer, is reached or at least every 30 inches. <br /> <br />Page 13 of 24 <br />
