CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br />Scope of Work <br />Annual Accomplishment Goal <br />I. Total number of clients anticipated to be served during the 12-month contract period= <br />6,060 PERSONS <br />H. Total number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served with grant funds during the <br />12 month contract period = 5,000 PERSONS 83% Santa Ana CDBG clients <br />III. Description of Work - in space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12-month <br />contract period including, services to be provided, program goals, client characteristics, & how grant <br />funds will be utilized. <br />We will use these funds to provide direct services to clients in our emergency services program activities. <br />These services include, but are not limited to, serving two hot meals every day of the week to anyone who <br />is hungry. We also distribute food bags three times weekly to help families make ends meet within their <br />tight budgets. More than half of those who receive supplemental food from us are children. We have a <br />large population of Senior citizens and homeless individuals who also seek and receive emergency food <br />assistance. Our clothing distribution program, conducted twice weekly, offers families clothing for <br />children to attend school, and individuals apparel to seek employment or go to work We network with <br />local employers and employment agencies to make job announcements available to assist our unemployed <br />clients find employment. Our goal is to assist 5,000 Santa Ana residents with hot meals, food bags, <br />clothing, and job referrals. <br />Specifically, we will use these funds to pay the salary of an outreach worker who will spend sixty percent <br />(60016) of his working hours on pick-up and deliveries of donatedfooit clothing and other items and case <br />management of clients. He has 16 years of experience as a staff member in this program.
