ORDINANCE NS-1210 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY <br />MUNICIPAL CODE CHANGE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SIGNS SANTA ANA PERTAINING TO <br /> NONCONFORMING SIGNS, <br />AMENDING SECTIONS 41-619.13 AND 41-619.SS OF THE SANTA ANA <br />MUNICIPAL CODE AND ADDING SECTIONS 41-619.14, 41-619.1S, <br />41-619.16, AND 41-619.17 TO THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE was <br />placed on first reading and set for public hearing on May 20~ <br />1974, on motion of Councilman Ward, seconded By Councilman <br />Garthe, with dissenting votes by Councilmen Evans and Markel. <br />(CA 34; CA 74) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 74-47 <br />AMENDING FEES FOR <br />MISCELLANEOUS SALES & <br /> <br />SERVICES <br /> <br />SALES AND SERVICES was discussed. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF TFIE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF TtIE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AMEND1N& <br />FEES FOR M~SCELLANEOUS <br /> <br />Council deleted from the Resolution for discussion purposes <br />the tennis Court reservation fees and the admission charges <br />to the Children's Zoo at Prentice Park, on the unanimously <br />approved motion of Councilman Griset, seconded By Councilman <br />Evans. <br /> <br />Following discussion, a motion by Councilman 6riset, seconded <br />by Councilman Ward, to approve an admission charge of 2S cents <br />for adults and 10 cents for children to the Children's Zoo <br />at Prentice Park, carried with Councilmen Evans and Yamamoto <br />dissenting. <br /> <br />A motion by Councilman Garthe, seconded by Councilman Ward, to <br />approve a charge of $1 per hour for tennis court reservations <br />and lights, and a charge of SO cents per hour day reservations, <br />without lights, at First and Flower and Cabrillo Tennis Center <br />carried, with Councilmen Evans and Yamamato and Mayor Patterson <br />dissenting. <br /> <br />A motion by Mayor Patterson, seconded by Councilman Evans, to <br />restore, on a trial basis, the City's previous policy of light- <br />ing the tennis courts between the hours of 7:00 and 10:0O P.M. <br />was approved with Councilmen Yamamoto, Griset and Gartke <br />dissenting. <br /> <br />The possibility of installation of automatic light switches <br />tennis courts was referred to staff for report and recommenda~. <br />tion on the unanimously carried motion of Councilman Evans, <br />seconded by Councilman Yamamoto. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 74-47 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING FEES FOR MISCELLANEOUS SALES <br />AND SERVICES was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman <br />Griset, seconded by Councilman Ward. <br /> <br />Mr. Andrew Barasch, 1925~ South Oak Street, Santa Aha, spoke <br />in opposition to the tennis court fees. CAMILE STREET letter from Mr. and <br /> Mrs. Eldon Eby, owners <br /> of the property known <br />as 914 and 916 W. Camile, in the R 2 District and the report <br />from the Director of Planning dated May 1, 1974. The letter <br />from the Ebys requested Council approval of the separation <br />of the two parcels, each with one residence, to facilitate <br />the sale of the properties.
