The bike trail along Santiago <br />Creek was approved on motion of Councilman Griset, seconded <br />by Councilman Yamamoto, and unanimously carried, Counc±lman <br />Ward roported that a letter had been received from the Green- <br />belt Coordinator advising that similar action had been taken <br />by the Greenbelt Commission on May 2, 1974. (CA 18.6; CA 145.1) <br /> <br />NATIONAL FLOOD~ Memorandum dated <br />INSURANCE PROGRAM April 4, 1974, from <br /> the Director of Public <br /> Works, attaching report <br />to Intergovernmental Coordinating Council was cons. ideTed, and <br />Council reaffirmed staff's recommendation to support the Flood <br />Insurance Program as an intermediate term solution to City's <br />flood hazard problem, with the understanding that the ultimate <br />solution will be expansion of flood control facilities along <br />the Santa Ana River and its tributaries, on motion of Council- <br />man Griset, seconded by Councilman Evans, and unani~mously <br />carried. (CA 140.14) <br /> <br />BOWERS MUESUM Memorandum dated <br />PARKING LOT EXPANSION May 1, 1~74, from the <br /> Museum Director was <br /> considered by Council. <br />Council authorized the expansion of the Museum parking let for <br />the estimated cost of approximately $7,S00 to be provided from <br />City/County Revenue Sharing Funds, and authorized the Director <br />of Public Works to proceed with the construction at the <br />earliest possible date, on motion of Councilman Evans, seconded <br />by Councilman Griset, and carried with Mayor Patterson dis- <br />senting.
