Zimmerman, Director of Planning <br />Wendell Bril, Director of Building Safety <br />Eugene Judd, Fire Chief <br />Eugene Laumeister, Recreation Superintendent <br /> <br />The Planning Consultants, Kennard, Delakousie and Gault, and <br />the Economic Consultants, Larry Smith and Co., using slides and <br />diagrams presented three concept proposals for the redevelopment <br />of downtown project area which had been jointly deyeloped. <br />The proposals suggested location, amount and relationskip of <br />retail, offices, hotel, residential and puklic uses for tke <br />project area, including street alignment. All of tke p~oposals <br />have the same basic components: <br /> <br />retail, specialty retail, cultural center, keritage <br />plaza, transit terminal, high and low rise office <br />space, civic center, housing, senior citizens center <br />and the possibility of a site for Pepperdine Univer~ <br />sity. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 205 JUNE 6, 1974 <br /> <br />*Barbara Gaughran arrived later in the meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
