N. -12 <br /> <br />APPROVED <br />o As Recommended <br />o As Amended <br />o Ordinance on 1 st Reading <br />o Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />o Implementing Resolution <br />o Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Award a contract to Consolidated Data Controls for the installation of <br />a Southern California Edison electric metering service entrance at the <br />Walnut Pumping Station in the amount of $10,427. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Public Works Agency's Water Resources Division is upgrading the <br />motor control center at the Walnut Pumping Station. To provide space <br />for the new equipment, the metering switchgear and switchboard were <br />relocated outside, which required the installation of a new Southern <br />California Edison electrical metering service entrance. The new <br />service entrance will be equipped with a transfer switch to allow for <br />the use of emergency backup power. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on September 29 and October 1, <br />2004, and bids were solicited.
