The current roof
drainage system is partially routed through the interior of the
building before runoff water is released to the exterior. As a result
of the interior design, leaks are concealed until water damage is
evident on ceilings, fixtures and office equipment.

The contract will provide for pressure washing and reinforcement of the
existing exterior gutters and drain outlets, installation of an
interior drain bypass, and repair of existing leaks, preventing further
damage to the station. The exposed drainage system will allow easier
access for leak detection and repairs.

The notice inviting bids was advertised on October 25 and 27, 2004, and
bids were solicited. A summary of the bid invitations and bids
received is as follows:

18 Invitations For Bid mailed
4 Invitations For Bid mailed to Santa Ana vendors
1 Bid received

The bid received from South Coast Roof, Inc. was received, opened on
November 23, 2004, and evaluated.
