In April of 1999 the City Attorney's Office contracted with West <br />Group for on-line legal research services. Since then, the office has <br />annually reviewed the associated costs with this service and alternate <br />service providers. In our continuing effort to reduce savings we have <br />elected to change our service provider. <br /> <br />After reviewing proposals, the City Attorney's Office selected to <br />contract with LexisNexis. The LexisNexis contract includes on-line <br />access for all attorneys and City Attorney Office staff. The monthly <br />fee with the new provider is at a savings of $500 from our current <br />provider.
