Nava, property owners, for the structure located at 1407 North <br />Towner Street. <br /> <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION ACTION <br /> <br />Recommended that the City Council direct the City Attorney to prepare and <br />authorize the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council to execute an <br />agreement with Carlos D. and Brandie L. Nava, property owners, for the <br />structure located at 1407 North Towner Street at its December 2, 2004 <br />meeting by a vote of 6:0 (Bustamante, Gartner, O'Callaghan absent) . <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />After the public hearing on December 2, 2004, the Historic Resources <br />Commission reviewed the proposed Historic Property Preservation Agreement <br />(Mills Act Contract) and concluded that the resulting potential property <br />tax savings would encourage the owner to reinvest the tax savings in the <br />maintenance of their historic property, and would benefit both the owner <br />and the community (Exhibit A). Additionally, the agreement prevents <br />inappropriate alterations. <br /> <br />25C-1 <br />
