Due to budget constraints, SAUSD does not have enough funds to <br />purchase a new vehicle and furnish it with all the necessary equipment for <br />a canine unit. SAUSD will purchase a surplus Chevrolet Caprice canine <br />vehicle from the Santa Ana Police Department for $3,000. The vehicle is <br />equipped with a canine conversion kit, light bar, Unitrol, center console, <br />temp sensor and door pop system. The sale of this vehicle to the SAUSD <br />Police Department may alleviate calls for service requiring canine response <br />by the Santa Ana Police Department. <br /> <br />F:ISCAL :IMPACT <br /> <br />Approval of the sale will increase revenue in the Equipment Replacement- <br />Sale of Equipment account (account no. 076-01-5715) by $3,000. <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br /> <br />/ . :JJj\ <br />~~ '<:. . ~ <br />Paul M.
