MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />July 15, 1974 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order in Room 831, City Hall, 20 <br />Civic Center Plaza, at 12:1S P.M., by Mayor Jerry M. Patterson. <br />Affidavits of proper Notice and Posting were on file in the <br />office of the Clerk of the Council. The following Councilmen <br />were present: J. Ogden Markel, John Garthe, Harry K. Yamamoto, <br />James E. Ward, Lorin Griset and Mayor Jerry M. Patterson. <br />Councilman Vernon S. Evans was absent. Also present were <br />representatives of the Press and the following members of Staff: <br />City Manager Bruce C. Spragg, Assistant City Manager Thomas J. <br />Andrusky, City Attorney James A. Withers and Clerk of the <br />Council Florence I. Malone. <br /> <br />PROPOSED BUDGET The City Manager dis- <br />FISCAL YEAR 1974-75 tributed copies of his <br /> final balancing proposal <br /> for the budget, dated <br />July 15, 1974, and Council discussed each of the eight proposed <br />additional expenditures; the proposed sanitation charge; and <br />the proposed expenditure reductions and additional revenues. <br />The Council consensus was to delete the addition of wheel chair <br />ramps, $45,000, and to add the $45,000 to the Council Contin- <br />gency Account. <br /> <br />The other proposed expenditures were informally approved, includ- <br />ing a sanitation charge of 506 per month for one-four dwelling <br />units; $4.00 for five or more units per building, and $4.00 for <br />commercial building or industrial unit. (CA 65B) <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT At 1:50 P.M., the <br /> meeting was adjourned <br /> on the unanimously <br /> approved motion of <br />Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto. <br /> <br />FLORENCE I.
